Al Araby is a general television network established in January 2015. It airs a variety of programs and news programs in Arabic covering society, politics, entertainment and culture. The channel's headquarters are in London and the network has offices in several Arab and Western capitals, as well as 11 offices in the Middle East and worldwide. The network says in its mission statement that it aims to "fulfill the desire of Arab citizens for content that engages them and to capture the way they perceive themselves, their world and the future". Al Araby TV is considered a platform for Arab youth and strives to be the voice of its young Arab viewers. AlAraby TV is part of the Fadaat Media network, which also includes The New Arab. Al Araby TV is already one of the largest television channels in the region, TV production facilities in London - and was built to compete with the largest and most popular channels in the Arab world. Alaraby TV is estimated to employ more than 400 media staff. The channel's current director is Lebanese journalist Abbas Nasser, a former top reporter for Al Jazeera.
