Top Channel is a national commercial television station based in Tirana, Albania founded by businessman Dritan Hoxha in 2001. In January 2008, Top Channel, part of Top Media Group, received national frequency coverage, making it the third such channel in Albania. In 2009, it was the first Albanian channel to be made available on 16:9 widescreen HDTV for select programming. Since September 2003, Top Channel has been present on satellite, broadcasting throughout Europe via DigitAlb and in North America via TVALB and Shqip TV. _0_ The channel is available via IPTV in Europe and North America, and via local cable TV in Switzerland.
